This series of eight minilessons can help you teach writing if you’re unsure of where to start! It includes video lessons and assignments for teaching narrative beginnings. It’s everything you need, from start to finish, to teach eight days of writing to your fourth and fifth graders! Just assign each day to your students in Google Classroom and you’re set! You must have signed up for G-Suite and have a Google account to use this resource.
These lessons could not be more manageable for students and parents, or easier for you to use! Just copy them using the links provided in the pdf you’ll download, assign them in Google classroom. and students can hand in their work as they complete it! You can even schedule due dates if you’d like.
The Google Forms will collect student responses for you and you can grade or check over them easily!

Each minilesson includes…
- a video lesson taught by me (or more than one, if the lesson is chunked for students to be successful)
- an introduction to the assignment during the video lesson
- an assignment that students can complete to demonstrate their learning
