Big Bang Brainstorming

3-2-1 Blast Off
Listen to a fun story and make a retelling wheel!
ALIENS!
Students and parents make partner play hats that show which character they are. Then they read the partner play. Comes in three versions: upper elementary, primary, and primary Spanish.
Mission Control
Read, read, read in the Space Station! Students find a cozy spot and read books with their families.
Moon Rocks
Two versions. In one version, students dig through “moon dust” (balled-up butcher paper) to find rhyming words. In another, they search for synonyms.
Students make a simple game board and play the game to practice following directions.
Rocket Writing
Students make a simple rocket craft and write an acrostic poem using the word “ROCKET”.
