Writing Genre Sort: Narrative vs. Expository

Description

This writing genre characteristics sort can help students distinguish between the elements of narrative writing and expository writing. I have used this sort in teacher trainings as well in order to help teachers differentiate between these genres as well.

Copy the cards onto card stock and place a complete set in each bag. Provide them to teams of students or teachers and let the discussion and decision-making ensue!
